IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATERAvailability of Monitoring Data for Unregulated Contaminants for the Philipsburg SystemThis notice applies to customers in the following communities: Philipsburg, Osceola Mills, and Chester Borough's. We serve Rush, Decatur, Boggs, Bradford, Graham, and Morris Township's. In these Township's are communities of Sandy Ridge, Gearhartville, West Decatur, Bigler, Mineral Springs, Woodland, Wallaceton, Allport, Morrisdale and Hawk Run. Our water system has sampled for a series of unregulated contaminants. Unregulated contaminants are those that don't yet have a drinking water standard set by USEPA. The purpose of monitoring for these contaminants is to help EPA decide whether the contaminants should have a standard. As our customers, you have a right to know that this data is available. The only detection of unregulated compounds found during our monitoring conducted between January 2008 and January 2009 was N-nitrosopyrrolidine (NPYR). The minimum reporting level for this compound is 0.002 ug/L. NPYR was found at a trace level of 0.006 ug/L.
