Boil water advisory lifted for
Huntington customers

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (June 28, 2009) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in Huntington.

The advisory was issued Friday evening for customers who experienced a loss of water service or low water pressure due to a water main break.

Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area.
