Missouri American Water Announces Research Award for High School Students Missouri American Water is inviting high school students to submit their research papers on water quality and watershed protection topics to the Junior Science Engineering and Humanities Symposium (JSEHS). The Missouri American Water High School Water Quality Research award is open to all Missouri high school students.
The top paper, as judged by Missouri American Water staff, will be recognized with a plaque, a $500 award for the student and a $500 award for the sponsoring teacher. Students may also apply for a grant, up to $100, to fund materials and supplies needed to conduct their research.
Students may submit their papers in any of the JSEHS award categories, following the guidelines and application forms available on the JSEHS site. The papers are due February 10, 2011.
The winners will receive their awards at the University of Missouri St. Louis Symposium, March 17 - 19, 2011.
