Vendors & Suppliers

At American Water, we realize that to successfully fulfill our mission of providing safe and reliable water services to our customers and the communities we serve, the relationships we forge with our suppliers is key. We partner with our suppliers to enable innovation, reduce costs and promote sustainability and diversity to accomplish extraordinary things. We welcome a variety of suppliers and strive to maintain a diverse list of companies who work with us. In fact, we have implemented a Supplier Diversity Program to better afford smaller organizations, and those run by women and minorities, the opportunity to supply us with essential products and services.

If you would like to explore the opportunity of providing products or services to American Water, please find the information in the “Becoming a Supplier” section below. The information should provide all documentation required for registering with American Water. Once you are registered, your information will be forwarded to the appropriate Supply Chain strategic buyer. If we are able to use the products or services you provide, a buyer will contact you to discuss the possibility of our companies working together.

We seek to include diverse suppliers in each of our strategic sourcing projects and welcome minority-owned, woman-owned and disabled veteran-owned businesses (MBE/WBE/DVBE) to contact us at supplierdiversity@amwater.com.
