New Jersey Payment Assistance
Sometimes customers face circumstances that stretch their financial resources. New Jersey American Water is here to assist. Our customer service representatives will work with you on a plan to pay the balance of the bill over time. You may also be qualified to receive assistance through our Low Income Payment Program and H2O Help to Others Program™.
If you cannot pay your bill by the due date, please contact our customer service center immediately, before the due date. Our customer service representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They will work with you to determine payment plan options that may be available.
H2O Help to Others Program™
For more than eight years, New Jersey American Water has been assisting low-income customers who qualify through its H2O Help to Others Program™. Customers who qualify may receive a grant of up to $500 to help pay their water bill and a discount on their monthly fixed service charge. The Low Income Payment Program and the H2O Help to Others Program™ are administered by NJ Shares, which is an independent, non-profit organization established to help those in need pay their utility bills.
