Turning Service On/Off

Turning the Water On
Turning your residential water services to your home on and off has never been easier. With our new self-service website, My H2O Online, you can set up your account, keep track of your water use and pay your bill when it is convenient for you. You can even request a time to have your service turned on or off.

New Residence
If you are moving into a new home or non-residential building, make sure that water is available at your address.

State law requires that a cross connection inspection be performed before the meter is installed. Cross connection devices prevent potentially contaminated water from entering the public water system in case of a pressure loss.

When these tasks are complete, please use My H2O Online or call us to schedule an appointment to install your water meter and turn on the water. Please provide us with three days notice to schedule the turn on.

Existing Residence
If you move to a residence where water service is already available, please use My H2O Online or call us and we will make a service call to read the meter and start your billing with an actual meter reading. If your water meter is located inside your home, it will be necessary for a representative to enter your home to read the meter.

Please call us at least three working days before you want your water service started.

An adult should be present when we turn on your water service, to prevent any overflow in case a faucet or other water device has been accidentally left on inside. An adult will also need to be present if your water service is already on, but we need to take a first reading from a meter located in the basement.

Commercial customers may call us at 800.673.5999 – residential customers can call as well – and one of our experienced customer service representatives will be ready to help. We’re ready 24 hours a day to assist the person responsible for paying the bill.

Turning the Water Off
Please notify us a few days before you want your water service disconnected. This will enable us to take a final and accurate meter reading and ensure that you are only charged for water you have used. Be ready to tell us the date service should be stopped, to arrange for a final meter reading, and to provide us with your final billing address. And don’t forget to have your service address, billing address, and telephone number handy.
