Voluntary Conservation Notice for Service Area 1 Customers

This is an important notification from New York American Water. The heat wave impacting Long Island is leading to extremely high water use by our customers and putting significant stress on the water supply. A voluntary conservation notice has been issued for customers in our Service Area 1. You reside in the affected area. We ask that you voluntarily limit all non-essential water use, specifically outdoor water use. Should current conditions continue, a mandatory conservation notice may follow. If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact to their water service.
