American Water Freedom Award
The 2020 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award was presented to American Water’s President and CEO, Walter Lynch by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve New Jersey Chairman, Mike Ferraro, in a brief ceremony at our Camden, NJ headquarters. The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the US government to employers for their support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. American Water is the first publicly traded water and wastewater services company to receive this recognition.
