New Jersey American Water Announces Changes to Finance and Human Resources Team

CAMDEN, N.J. (AUG. 5, 2020)New Jersey American Water recently announced changes to its Finance and Human Resources teams.

Michael McKeever, who has served as Senior Finance Manager at New Jersey American Water since 2019, has been promoted to Divisional Chief Financial Officer for the Eastern Division which includes New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and Maryland. The company also welcomes Deana Earland Perez, who has joined the company as Director, Human Resources Business Partner for the Eastern Division.

“After nearly 15 years with American Water, Michael has continuously proven to be an asset to our team, and we are pleased to expand his role to Divisional Chief Financial Officer,” said Cheryl Norton, President of New Jersey American Water and Chief Environmental Officer of American Water. “We are also thrilled to welcome Deana and the breadth of experience and perspective she will bring to the table in her new role.”

As Divisional Chief Financial Officer, McKeever will lead the Finance function for all Eastern Division companies. He will oversee the financial planning process, providing guidance and decision-making support on financial related matters.

McKeever has a strong financial background with over 20 years of experience in public accounting, external reporting, and compliance. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University and is a certified public accountant in the state of New Jersey.

In her new role as Director, Human Resources Business Partner, Earland Perez will lead the Human Resources team across all Eastern Division companies. She brings over 20 years of valuable experience in acquisition, employee and labor relations, and leading teams across multiple states.

Earland Perez has held senior human resources director roles with Elior North America which purchased Constellation Culinary Group (formerly STARR Catering Group) where she also served as HR director. Additionally, she has worked in human resources for Wegman’s Food Markets. Earland Perez earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University.
