New Jersey American Water Invests $2.2 Million in Howell Infrastructure

CAMDEN, N.J. – OCT. 5, 2020 – New Jersey American Water will replace approximately 7,500 feet of aging water main in Howell beginning next week. The company will upgrade the aging 6-inch water lines, installed as far back as the 1960’s, with new 8-inch ductile iron main along the entire length of Stockport Way, Westbrook Road, Westbrook Circle, Beacon Drive, Meadowbrook Drive, and Putnam Road. The project also includes installing three new fire hydrants and replacing 114 utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route.

This $2.2 million investment will continue to advance water service reliability and increase water flows for household consumption and fire protection in this community.
