Pennsylvania American Water Announces $425K Water Main Replacement Project in Falls Township

Yardley, Pa. (Nov. 15, 2021) – Pennsylvania American Water announced today the upcoming start of construction to replace a section of water main in Falls Township that will improve reliability for customers, reduce service disruptions, and increase water flows for firefighting. The cost of the system improvements, which replace water main dating back to the 1950s, is $425,000.

The project, scheduled to begin on Nov. 17, includes replacing 1,100 feet of aging water main pipe with new 8-inch ductile iron main and the installation of new copper water supply services and meter chambers for customers on Louise Drive between Mark Drive and Paul Road. Crews will work weekdays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic restrictions will be in place during construction. The company expects to complete the water main installation and connect all customer service lines to the new main by the end of the year. Final restoration and paving will be completed in early spring 2022.

During construction, customers might experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water, and/or lower than normal water pressure. Crews will work as quickly as possible to shorten the length of these temporary inconveniences. For more information, contact Pennsylvania American Water’s customer service center at 1-800-565-7292.
