American Water Charitable Foundation and West Virginia American Water Announce 2024 Holiday Donations
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Dec. 13, 2024) – The American Water Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., along with West Virginia American Water announced today nine organizations will receive a combined total of $9,000 in State Strategic Impact grants, supporting West Virginia communities this holiday season.
“We continue to be grateful for the continued support that our community gives us,” said Nikki Bigiarelli, CEO of Hospice of the Panhandle. “This gift from the American Water Charitable Foundation will provide support for our patients not only during the holiday season, but throughout the year.”
Following is a list of organizations, each receiving a $1,000 grant, representing the entirety of West Virginia American Water’s service area:
- Covenant House (Charleston)
- Fayette County Family Resource Network (Oak Hill)
- Webster Springs Main Street (Webster Springs)
- Salt Rock Elementary Food Pantry (Salt Rock)
- Lily's Place (Huntington)
- Children's Home Society of WV (Princeton)
- Hospice of the Panhandle (Jefferson County)
- Secret Santa Foundation Inc (Racine)
- Stonewall State Park Foundation (Weston)

The State Strategic Impact grant is part of the Foundation’s 2024 Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, focusing on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities. State Strategic Impact grants support high-impact projects and initiatives throughout American Water’s national footprint.
