Recipients include 5 nonprofit organizations across West Virginia American Water
Charleston, W.Va. – April 23, 2025 – The American Water Charitable Foundation, a philanthropic non-profit organization established by American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., recently announced 5 organizations were awarded a 2025 Water and Environment grant, supporting communities served by West Virginia American Water.
“Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is thrilled to be a recipient of the American Water Charitable Foundation 2025 Water and Environment grant. This will allow us to provide more opportunities for girls across the state and gives them the chance to learn and connect with the environment in powerful ways. The Water and Environment grant is part of the American Water Charitable Foundation’s Keep Communities Flowing Grant Program, focusing on three pillars of giving: Water, People and Communities.
“The Water and Environment grant reflects our deep commitment to environmental stewardship and community resilience,” said Scott Wyman, President of West Virginia American Water. “By collaborating with the American Water Charitable Foundation and investing in local initiatives, we're keeping our promise to not only protect our source water but also empower communities to build a more sustainable and healthy future."
