Pennsylvania American Water Announces Traffic Advisory in the Lincoln Place Neighborhood in Pittsburgh

Traffic restrictions along Mifflin and Baldwin Roads start Monday

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 21, 2022) – Pennsylvania American Water announced today the relocation of a water main along Mifflin and Baldwin roads, which will result in traffic and parking restrictions in the Lincoln Place neighborhood located in the City of Pittsburgh.

Starting on Monday, October 24, the intersection of Mifflin Road and Baldwin Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, through early December. The project also will create parking restrictions in that area.

The company encourages motorists to find alternative routes and avoid the construction area during project hours. Work outside these hours is not expected unless required to maintain the project schedule. Final street restorations will be completed in the Spring of 2023.

The water main is being relocated due to the installation of a pedestrian ramp onto State Route 837. Crews will work as quickly as possible to shorten the length of these temporary inconveniences.

During construction, customers might experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water, and lower-than-normal water pressure. Crews will work as quickly as possible to shorten the length of these temporary inconveniences.
