DRINKING WATER PROBLEM CORRECTED: BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR NORRISTOWN SYSTEM

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (October 2, 2022) Pennsylvania American Water said at 8:20 p.m. today that it is no longer necessary for customers in its Norristown water system to boil their water. Customers were notified early on the morning on September 30, 2022, that part of the system experienced a loss of positive water pressure due to a main break in East Norriton. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.

This notice applies to customers in Pennsylvania American Water’s Norristown system in portions of East Norriton, Plymouth and Whitpain township, and small section of Norristown borough.

Acceptable test results were obtained from samples collected on October 1, 2022, and October 2, 2022, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting the advisory.
