New Jersey American Water Temporarily Suspends Fluoridation System at the Raritan-Millstone Water Treatment Plant

Due to ongoing water treatment plant upgrades, please be advised that New Jersey American Water has temporarily shut down the fluoridation system at the Raritan-Millstone Water Treatment Plant. Fluoride is considered a drinking water additive and the temporary absence will have no impact to the quality of your water. 

This treatment change will apply to New Jersey American Water customers in the following communities:

  • Branchburg Township (including Neshanic Station)
  • Bedminster
  • Parts of Bridgewater (Bradley Gardens, Finderne, Green Knoll)
  • Cranbury
  • Far Hills
  • Hillsborough Township (including Belle Mead)
  • Jamesburg
  • Kingston
  • Lawrence Township (only section served by New Jersey American Water)
  • Manville
  • Millstone
  • Montgomery (including Skillman)
  • Peapack-Gladstone
  • Plainsboro 
  • Princeton Borough
  • Princeton Township
  • Raritan Borough
  • Raritan Township
  • Readington
  • Somerville
  • The Hills in Basking Ridge 
  • West Windsor
