Employees participate in hands-on training and online classes to support safety in the workplace. Employees connect with their local safety committee to address safety concerns and make sure everyone has the correct tools to perform their job safely. Employees also participate in job-site audits and safety talks.
Brown added, “We have an excellent safety program at Illinois American Water. The Cairo team is active in engaging safety resources and modifying to new safety standards which is apparent in their success. The team’s commitment to prevent hazards and actively engage in safe work collaborations has allowed them to celebrate 23 years of safety.”
