In order for the repairs to be made, it was necessary for Iowa American Water to temporarily shut down its water main that the customer service line was connected to. Repairs should be complete and water service restored by 8 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 1.

As a result of the water main shutdown, a precautionary boil water advisory is being issued to customers in the following areas:

Affected customers are being notified of the precautionary advisory via the CodeRED calling system using phone numbers on file at the water company. The precautionary boil water advisory is in effect until 1 AM on Thursday, Dec. 3.
