TRAFFIC IMPACTS EXPECTED IN NORRISTOWN DUE TO WATER MAIN BREAK

Norristown, Pa. (Nov. 3, 2023) Pennsylvania American Water announced this morning that due to a water main break, Main Street in Norristown is closed at Cherry Street, and Cherry Street is closed between Lafayette Street and West Penn. Crews are on site making repairs, but traffic is expected to be impacted for most of the day. Motorists are asked to use caution and take alternate routes.

 

  • Travelers heading east on Main Street will turn right on Barbados Street and then turn left on to Lafayette Street.

 

  • Travelers heading west on Main Street will turn right at Dekalb Street and then left on Airy Street.

 

  • Travelers coming from Bridgeport into Norristown will continue north on Dekalb Street and then left on Airy Street.
