“All West Virginians play a vital role in keeping our drinking water sources clean and healthy,” said Erica Pauken, source water protection program manager for West Virginia American Water. “As the largest water provider in the state, we believe it is our duty to spearhead Source Water Protection Week efforts and educate West Virginians on the significant impact we all have on our watersheds and the environment.”

West Virginia American Water will kick off its 2022 Source Water Protection Week in Summers County on Monday, September 26 with the West Virginia Land Trust. The two entities will announce a joint venture that will support the company’s continued source water protection and environmental stewardship efforts in that region.
